Jeju was once known as “Tamra” with the meaning of islands. The Emperor of Korea renamed it “Jeju” in Korea Gao. Later， it was changed to “Tamra”. Finally， in 1294， it was identified as “Jeju”.
It is beautiful around the year. There are Rhododendrons in spring， waterfalls in summer， maple leaves in autumn， snow in winter. They are famous and fascinating. However， from the view of the visitors， the most pride is the wide mind and hospitality that Jeju people have.
济州岛是韩国第一大岛，又名蜜月之岛、浪漫之岛，位于朝鲜半岛的南端，岛上屹立着韩国最高的山汉拿山。
济州岛是个神话之岛，其名字的由来和历史的渊源，就是个美丽的传奇神话。据说，在遥远的古代，有三位仙人，在海上遇到了三位美丽的公主，三位仙人和这三位公主在一座岛上结了婚，然后在这里建立村落，庆幸的是，这三位公主随身带着牛马和五谷的种子，于是三对人开始在这里长期生活，并繁衍子孙。韩国著名景点“三姓穴”就是这个神话的发源地。
济州曾经被称为“耽罗”，意思是岛国，高丽高宗时改称“济州”。后来又改为“耽罗国”，直至1294年，才最终确定为“济州”。
济州的一年四季都很美，春季的踯躅花、夏季的瀑布、秋季的枫叶、冬季的雪景都闻名天下，令人神往。不过，在游客看来，最值得骄傲的还是济州岛人身上浓厚的人情味，他们胸怀宽广，又热情好客。

Jeju Folk Village
Jeju Folk Village is the place where the customs of the early centuries appear again.
In the folk arena， the Jeju folk， female sea dance and mask dance are performed twice a day. The delicate wood crafts， bamboo crafts， thatched crafts and textile crafts are also showed. You can enjoy cheap Jeju food in the market in Folk Village.
Luo Feng Park
Luo Feng Park is located in Health Ball in the east of Jeju. Visitors can board the Luo Feng to see Jeju’s panoramic. It is also the best place to watch the sunset and night scene in Jeju. The beautiful sunset will make visitors forget a day’s boredom and fatigue.
Dole Harlow State
Dole Harlow State is a symbol of Jeju. Jeju Island is also the patron saint or descendant goddess of the village. This statue stands at the entrance to the Folk Village and Jeju Island village. It has big eyes， a low hat down and a slightly crooked head. It looks solemn.
Leading Rock and Ryongyon
The leading top of the leading rock is a symbol of Jeju tourism industry. Ryongyon has clear water， surrounded by strangely shaped rocks and evergreen forests. Leading rock and ryongyon are also the good places for playing at night. It’s stunning.
Bonsai Garden
Bonsai garden on Jeju Island was known as “the most beautiful and the largest Bonsai pots of world”. This was the transformation by Mr. Fan Yong. The project lasted 36 years， turned out to be barren of 30，000 square meters. It is now a beautiful bonsai garden of more than 2，000 arts and hundreds of valuable trees.
Tidy Bear Museum
Korean Teddy Bear Museum is built to show people around the world the favorite teddy bears for centuries， which is located in Chinese tourist area， Jeju， Korea. It has a total area of 10，000 square meters. It displays 1，200 teddy bears to reproduce the famous scene of the historical and antique figures in the last century and the living works by art masters. There are also children’s favorite cartoon characters. And the world’s smallest teddy bear is very cute.
济州民俗村
济州民俗村是以前的济州生活和风俗重新演绎的地方。
在民俗表演场，每天表演两次济州民谣、海女舞以及假面舞等济州民俗文化，同时又展现精致的木工艺、竹工艺、茅草工艺、织布工艺等。在民俗村的市场里，游客还可以买到廉价的济州风味食品。
罗峰公园
罗峰位于济州市东侧的健入洞，游客登上罗峰，可以将济州岛全景一览无余。这里也是观看日落和济州夜景的最佳去处，美丽的晚霞会让游客忘记一天的烦闷和疲劳。
多尔哈鲁邦
多尔哈鲁邦是济州岛的象征，也是济州岛村庄的守护神或子孙娘娘。这座石像矗立在民俗村与济州岛村庄入口处，它有着大大的眼睛，戴着低低的帽子，稍稍歪斜着头，很庄严的样子。
龙头岩和龙渊
龙头岩的顶部是龙头，是济州旅游业的象征。龙渊的池水清澈，周围是奇岩怪石和常绿树林。龙头岩和龙渊也是夜间游玩的好去处，夜景令人迷醉。
盆景园
济州岛上的盆景园被称为“世界上最大最美的盆栽苑”。这是成范永先生改造的，这项工程持续了36年，原来是三万多平方米的不毛之地，现在成了一片风光秀丽的盆景园林，园内有2，000多个艺术盆景及数百种珍贵树木。
泰迪熊博物馆
韩国泰迪熊博物馆是为展示百年来深受全世界人们喜爱的玩具泰迪熊而建的，它位于韩国济州岛中文旅游区，面积共一万多平方米，陈列了1，200只泰迪熊，再现了百年历史中有名的场面和历史人物，还有艺术大师们的鲜活作品，以及深受孩子们喜欢的动画人物以及世界上最小的玩具熊，相当可爱。
The Island of Celebration 庆典之岛
Jeju Island is an island of celebration. There are a variety of festivals and activities around the year. Those often make people enjoy the unique pleasure and experience another charm of Jeju.
There are City Sunrise Mountain Festival， Cherry Blossom Festival， Rape Flower Festival， Seven Fairies Festival， and the International Community Marathon in spring. There is the Seaside Festival in summer. There are International Band Festival and Halla Cultural Festival in autumn. There are Halla Winter Snow Festival and the Lantern Wildfires Festival in winter.
Among them， the Seven Fairies Festival attracts countless tourists. In early May each year， Seven Fairies Festival is held in Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls. According to legend， the Emperor of Heaven has seven beautiful daughters. They were eager to visit the folks， so they sneaked privately into the folk to play. In the Seven Fairies Festival， the activities will be held to reproduct the magic legend and the seven fairies coming down from heaven and back to the scene after bathing. At the same time， there are folk games， singing contests and other supporting activities. Visitors can also see the attractive scenery of the “Emperor’s Heaven House” and “Fairies’ Bridge”carved with the statues of fairies.
